यूनेस्को द्वारा ‘मानवता की अमूर्त सांस्कृतिक धरोहर’ की मान्यता प्राप्त कुंभ मेले में देशी-विदेशी लोगों का मिलाप अनेकता में एकता के साथ ‘विश्व बंधुत्व’ को चरितार्थ कर रहा है। प्रयागराज स्थित पतित पावनी गंगा, श्यामल यमुना और अदृश्य सरस्वती की विस्तीर्ण त्रिवेणी पर भले ही लोग एक-दूसरे की भाषा नहीं समझे, पर उनकी भावनाओं को आसानी से समझते हैं। मेले में कोई अकेला नहीं। यहां हर किसी के साथ कोई-न-कोई जुड़ा है। कुंभ मेला देश की महान संस्कृति का परिचायक ही नहीं बल्कि अनेकता में एकता का प्रतीक और विश्व बंधुत्व की भावना भी लिए हुए है।
